The HopSkipDrive alternative school transportation solution is loved by schools and districts across the country. The safe, reliable solution arranges transportation for students who don’t fit neatly on bus routes, such as students designated McKinney-Vento, youth in foster care and students with transportation requirements in their IEP. 

Using an innovative TNC business model, the HopSkipDrive solution matches rides with a flexible supply of CareDrivers, meaning we can immediately supply decreases or increases in ride volume. Education rides are always guaranteed and can be scheduled with just eight hours notice.

HopSkipDrive CareDrivers must meet 15 points of criteria to access the platform, including 5+ years of caregiving experience, fingerprint-based criminal and motor vehicle history checks, Child Abuse and Neglect scans* and more. CareDrivers are enrolled in ongoing monitoring so that HopSkipDrive receives any alerts of changes in their criminal or motor vehicle background.

HopSkipDrive has a direct line to CareDrivers, meaning you — and parents or caregivers on a child’s account — can track rides in real-time. With our Safe Ride Support system, we also track rides and proactively solve any issue for you. You’ll never be out of the loop.

Safety is our number one priority — from CareDriver criteria to visibility into rides to sophisticated technology. We partner with an industry-leading third party app which records events of risky driving behavior; we provide CareDrivers with data on their driving behavior as well as resources on safe driving for iterative improvement. 

We’ve seen incredible results — 99.6% of our rides were completed without any safety incident, CareDrivers use devices while driving 8x less than the general population, and collision rates are 140x lower than the national average!
