In this course series, school counselors will be introduced to using data in the design, implementation, evaluation and improvement of their (counseling) programs. Data is a powerful tool that when understood and utilized correctly can be transformational to your school district.

Postsecondary Readiness for Middle School Pathway (3 courses) 

Postsecondary Readiness Pathway Overview

This course series is designed to help school counselors define college and career readiness for middle school students. This pathway will explain the role of postsecondary readiness for middle school counselors and college and career advisors, while fostering collaboration around postsecondary readiness for college access professional and school counselors.

  • The Value of a College Degree

  • Middle School Development for Postsecondary Planning

  • Building Middle School Students’ Motivation

Learning Goals

Staff will be guided to explain the developmental stages middle school students are going through and the importance of introducing college and career readiness for all students earlier in their educational journey.
